Not Your Normal Developer Page

I've always been a person of two minds. Drawn towards creating content while still reveling in the technical detail of the execution. I didn't want my site to display only a single facet of who I am, how I think, or how I approach problems to be solved. As such, sections of this site focus on my more creative tendencies despite my professional focus being far more technical in nature.

I never want to lose touch with my creative side, as it inspires me daily.

Technical Consulting

A large portion of my work life has revolved around software consulting and technical client engage.

  • Was an instrumental member of a team that designed a 3D rendering pipeline to service online vehicle configurations.
  • Pushed for and orchestrated large scale assetization, referencing , and reusability efforts using Maya, 3DSMax, VRay, and Nuke.
  • Led a team of 8 developers to improve studio efficiency as well as increase code quality and test coverage.
  • Written and facilitated week long training seminars for FCA in Italy.
  • Worked with Several Clients & companies in Japan to helped define their needs and designed software solutions to automate vehicle configuration logic generation.
  • Re-designed and implemented content deployment tooling for General Motors.

Code Side Projects

In 2013 my professional focus shifted from direct content creation to designing tools, pipelines, and automations to empower my fellow 3D artists. This occurred naturally as I found myself leading a team of 15 3D artists. I noticed that when you saddle artists with the more technical tasks that can come with 3D asset creation it can easily sap their effort, confidence, and  creativity if they're worried about missing a step. I began coding to alleviate this need and haven't looked back since. One drawback to this is that the vast majority of the code I've written is hidden in proprietary GitLab repositories. I do however, back up any side projects or additional learnings I've undertaken on Github although this profile is admittedly not a primary focus of mine at this time.
